How we got here

Nine years, two cities, one very patient dog.

2018

We met in the back row of a lecture neither of us wanted to be in. Mateo asked to borrow a pen. Sloane still has the pen.

2021

Long distance, Tampa to Charleston. Sunday calls that ran past midnight. A rescue mutt named Biscuit who chose Sloane and tolerates Mateo.

2026

He asked on the dunes at Flagler Beach as the sun went down. She said yes before he finished the question. We'd like you there for the next part.

Will you be there?
Which days?

Things people ask

What do I wear?
Garden formal. Suits without the tie, long dresses, anything you'd wear to a nice dinner outside. The lawn is grass, so leave the stilettos.
Can I bring the kids?
Yes, all of them. There's a kids' table, a lawn to run on, and a babysitter in the barn loft from 8 pm.
Is there parking?
Plenty, in the field by the barn. Follow the lanterns. If you're drinking, take the shuttle from Hammock Beach instead.
Will it be hot?
It's April in Florida, so probably. The ceremony is in the shade, the barn has fans, and there's cold water everywhere. Bring sunglasses.
Are you registered somewhere?
You being there is the gift. If you insist, we're saving for a proper honeymoon and there'll be a card box in the barn.
Can I take photos?
Please do, after the ceremony. On the day this site becomes an app with a disposable camera; everything you shoot lands in one album we all get to keep.
